About Me
I’m a UX designer and researcher with a focus on immersive experiences.
I’m currently a UX researcher at NorQuest College and I also lead the UX design for an interactive VR narrative experience with strong ecological themes.
I often turn to nature for catharsis, tranquility, and now for design inspiration. I am a student of biomimicry which employs strategies and principles found in nature to solve design problems.
I transitioned to UX design after a long and varied career in the arts. I served as an executive director of a film festival and most recently immersed myself in the creative lives of artists as the host of a community podcast. I’m also a lifelong writer of fiction, essays, and occasionally poetry.
All of these experiences have shaped me to be the kind of person and, by extension, designer that imbues a spirit of curiosity, deep empathy, and experimentation into everything I do.
I’m a friendly introvert and would very much like to connect with you.
